Signs of Condemnation
(def. in a state of being damned.)
Lawlessness
-Finding pleasure in things other than glorifying God (idolatry)
-Lack of sexual restraint including sex out of marriage and lust the same as adultery ( see Matt 5:28-29)
-Finding pleasure in wild partying
-Drunkenness
-Having ever lied
-Having ever stolen
-A hatred for Truth
-Doing righteousness grudgingly to save your skin.
-Loving money (neglecting your obligations to God and your family while pursuing material gain.)
-Honoring God with your lips but having your life consumed with the cares of this life.
-Living a sinful life style without being rebuke by God. “If God doesn't discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children after all.” (Hebrews 12:8 NLT)
Signs of Being Born Again?
(A heart raised from the dead.)
New Creature
-Loving God from your heart.
-Hating the sin you once loved.
-Pursuing righteousness out of thankfulness and love for God
-A passion for God’s glory even out of great personal sacrifice.
-A love for the Truth.
-A hunger for God’s Word.
-God keeps you from falling away from His plan for you. (See Hebrew 12:8, Matt 7:13, Ephesians 1-6)
